Episode 1 - The Last of Summer

Summary:As season 1 came to a close, Dr. Brown agreed to perform a risky brain surgery on Colin Hart in order to save his life after a devistating accident. Now, Dr. Brown has performed the surgery and Colin's fate is revealed to the town of Everwood and to the family and friends at the hospital.

 

Episode 2 - Extra Ordinary

Summary:Andy starts to believe that Ephram will need more extracurricular activities to get into college, but Ephram only has his eye on one college: Julliard. Amy's parents are alarmed when Amy has no interest in college preparations while Bright's future is threatened by his poor grades. Meanwhile, Andy treats a cheerleader with ruptured breast implants.

 

Episode 3 - My Brother's Keeper

Summary:The Abbots are shocked when Dr. Linda Abbot, Harold's sister, returns to town after practicing medicine around the world. In all the excitement, Edna doesn't see that her relationship with Irv is suffering while Harold's excitement is cut short when Linda tells him that she wants to join his practice. Meanwhile, Andy talks to the parents of pre-teens who have been practicing unsafe sex and is shocked by their reaction to the situation; and Bright asks Ephram to look out for Amy.

 

Episode 4 - East Meets West

Summary:Andy's plan to ease Ephram's load by hiring a caretaker, Madison Kellner, for Delia backfires when Madison treats Ephram like a child in front of Amy, embarrassing Ephram. Meanwhile, Andy, focused on Colin's father's alcoholism, doesn't realize Nina's need for a friend after her divorce; and Linda and Harold's differences clash at the office.

 

Episode 5 - Daddy's Little Girl

Summary:Andy invites Linda Abbot over for dinner to discuss a patient, but Delia sees the dinner differently, resulting in her cursing at Linda. With the help of Madison, Ephram is able to find out why Delia reacted so badly to Linda. Meanwhile, Amy's depression continues to get worse and Harold refuses to write a prescription for drugs to help her

 

Episode 6 - Blind Faith

Summary:Seeing that Andy and Linda might have feelings for each other, Andy sets out to find Linda a more "suitable" man. Ephram talks to Amy about his true feelings for her, but is later confused when he realizes he has feelings for Madison as well. Meanwhile, Andy tries to treat Reverend Keyes for his increasing blindness, but the Reverend would rather leave his fate to God than medicine.

 

Episode 7 - Three Miners From Everwood

Summary:When a coalmine near Everwood collapses, Dr. Brown, with the help of Linda, Edna, and Harold, hurry to lend their medical assistance to the disaster. The doctors' personal relationships with the miners, who include the Abbot's neighbor and Ephram's piano teacher, add more emotion to the situation. In order to save lives, each of the doctors use their special skills and Andy is forced to face one of his greatest fears.

 

Episode 8 - The Burden of Truth

Summary:After the town mechanic "diagnoses" a patient of Andy's with meningitis rather than flu, the townspeople begin to think that he has a special gift. Meanwhile, Ephram tells Madison about his feelings for her; Amy goes to Linda for help with her depression; and Edna learns the disturbing truth about why Linda refuses to date Andy.

 

Episode 9 - Just Like in the Movies

Summary:Andy begins to pursue Linda, despite Edna and Harold's obvious objections. He soon learns why Edna and Harold don't want them together when Linda reveals that she has H.I.V. Meanwhile, Bright gives Ephram advice on how to win Madison, but his suggestions don't go as planned; and Amy meets Tommy Callahan and soon falls for him due to his understanding of her depression after Colin's death.

 

Episode 10 - Unhappy Holidays

Summary:Shocked after learning about Ephram and Madison's relationship, Andy debates whether or not to fire Madison, but his mind is made up for him when Madison decides to quit. Her leaving upsets Delia, making for an unhappy holiday season. Meanwhile, Harold is upset when Amy brings Tommy over for Thanksgiving, leading to Amy running away from home.

 

Episode 11 - Family Dynamics

Summary:After breaking a promise not to date Linda that he made with Delia, Andy takes Delia on a trip to regain her trust. Meanwhile, Andy consults with a woman who wants to get pregnant through in-vitro fertilization with sperm from her first husband, who recently passed, but her second husband is having trouble dealing with her wish. The Abbot family is thrown for a curve when Amy decides to move in with Irv and Edna instead of living by her parents' rules

 

Episode 12 - Controlling Interest

Summary:Andy tries to help a champion wrestler whose bulimic habits have put his health in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Bright is suspended after getting into a fight with Tommy; Linda worries that Andy doesn't want to be intimate with her because of her H.I.V.; and Ephram convinces himself that Madison is embarrassed to be seen with him

 

Episode 13 - Forget Me Not

Summary:The rift between Amy and her parents is slow to heal after Bright's fight with Tommy, and the situation becomes even worse when Amy forgets Harold's birthday dinner. Madison lies to Ephram about liking a love song he wrote, and the white lie ends up causing a fight between Madison and Ephram. Meanwhile, Nina confronts Andy about their hurting friendship.

 

Episode 14 - No Sure Thing

Summary:Ephram misunderstands Madison's intentions when she tells him that her roommate will be out of town, but the misinterpretation leads to a romantic night for the couple. Amy decides that she's ready to have sex with Tommy so she visits Andy in order to get a prescription for birth control pills. Meanwhile, Andy talks to Ephram and Delia about having Linda stay the night at their house.

 

Episode 15 - The L Word

Summary:Ephram is horrified when he accidentally tells Madison that he loves her, and is even more embarrassed when she doesn't say it back. Meanwhile, Linda agrees to watch Delia overnight while Andy and Ephram travel to Boulder for a jazz competition; and Amy breaks up with Tommy after losing trust in him.

 

Episode 16 - Unspoken Truths

Summary:Ephram and Bright conspire to get Ephram a fake I.D. so that he can get into a bar to see Madison perform with her band. Meanwhile, Nina leans on Andy for emotional support after she is served with divorce papers, but the genuine affection between the two raises a red flag for Linda; Harold and Rose (guest star Merrilyn Gann) schedule a meeting with Amy's guidance counselor after receiving her less-than-stellar report card. Finally, Tommy (guest star Paul Wasilewski) takes Amy to a party where she finds closure over the loss of Colin (guest Mike Erwin), but the evening takes a life-threatening turn.

 

Episode 17 - Unfinished Business

Summary:Amy moves back home, but finds adjusting to her old life difficult, especially after her parents (Tom Amandes and Merrilyn Gann) discover she's taking birth control pills and her former friends give her the major cold shoulder. Elsewhere in Everwood, Ephram thinks Madison is going to break up with him and Andy testifies on behalf of Nina as she and her recently out-of-the-closet ex-husband (guest-star Dylan Walsh) battle for sole custody of their son.

 

Episode 18 - Last Looks

Summary:Against Andy's better judgment, ex-sweethearts Ephram and Madison decide it would be in Delia's best interest if Madison resumed her job as Delia's babysitter. Meanwhile, Amy contemplates going off her anti-depressant medication after Linda suggests she might be ready and Bright anxiously awaits his college acceptance letters.

 

Episode 19 - Sick

Summary:Amy confides to Bright that she may have developed feelings for Ephram and sees him in a new light, but Bright begs her to have mercy on poor Ephram, who is still nursing a broken heart from his recent break-up with Madison. Meanwhile, Linda reveals her HIV status to Delia after the girl confronts her about all the pills she's been taking. While Delia takes the news better than expected, the rest of the town goes ballistic after Linda's secret unintentionally becomes public knowledge. Dr. Abbott faces a potential malpractice suit, and Andy is forced to come clean with Ephram, who doesn't take the news very well.

 

Episode 20 - Do or Die

Summary: Ephram and Amy decide to go to prom together as friends, but Amy can't get up the nerve to tell Ephram that she has feelings for him after they run into his ex-girlfriend Madison and Amy realizes that he's still nursing a broken heart. Meanwhile, Linda decides it may be time to leave Everwood behind, and Andy's mentor, Dr. Donald Douglas (guest star Philip Baker Hall), asks him to perform risky brain surgery on a patient who turns out to be Dr. Douglas himself.

 

Episode 21 - Your Future Awaits

Summary:When Amy accompanies Ephram to his Julliard audition in Boulder, a romantic moment leads her to confess her newfound feelings for him. Meanwhile, Andy struggles to convince his mentor Dr. Douglas (guest-star Philip Baker Hall) that he needs even riskier brain surgery than originally thought and that Andy is the man to do it. Dr. Abbott faces losing his medical practice after it appears no company will insure him. Lastly, Bright decides not to attend his graduation ceremony, much to the disappointment of his family.

 

Episode 22 - The Day Is Done

Summary:Ephram is on cloud nine after being accepted into Julliard's summer program, but his emotions are sent into a tailspin when Amy shares her feelings for him and asks that he stay in Everwood for the summer. Meanwhile, Dr. Abbott's family thinks he's gone off the deep end when he decides to open a bagel shop in response to losing his practice insurance, and Andy learns a shocking revelation about his family
